Obstacle: Overturned car on the opposite side of partially divided 4-lane highway, fire engine in our left lane, row of parked cars adjacent to our right lane.
Action: Traffic slowing, cars eeking through space between parked cars and fire truck

Quote: To self- "Damn!"
To me and another passenger standing in the front- "Do you think I can get [the bus] through that? Aww...sh**!"
To self- "Shoo [mutter] the po-po be here an' mmmm..."

Resolution: Bus eeks through. Safe passage. Crisis averted.

Not quite humorous enough to submit to Eavesdrop DC, but a good show nonetheless.
